The Marriage of Heaven and "Heck"
untitled.jpg

In this ever so exciting and interesting site, you will soon learn about all of the sneaky ways John Steinbeck plagerized William Blake by stealing motives, ideas, and entire quotations directly from the aforementioned poem.

The theme we are presenting is this:

There are two types of people who exist; proprietors and servants. When these two types of people are brought together, at first it seems that the proprietors come out on top. However, The proprietors are weak, and are only able to supress the servants by force for so long with fear and force.Eventually, when the servants refuse to tolerate any more, they rebel and prove themselves stronger than the proprietors by coming together and overthrowing them. By overcoming the proprietors, the servants are able to create a world that is better than before.

The Following links correspond to the two
main connections between the poem and the book:

          1. The creation of a bond between the proprietors and the servants

          2. The revolt, created when the servants are no longer able to tolerate the proprietors.
